For the last week or so, I've been out of town

and unexpectedly couldn't get Internet access. So, you've been deprived of your bacon-y news. My apologies.

The shocking things was, I also unexpectedly haven't had any BACON this past week. Let me explain. My travels took me to the great American Midwest, a land of cheese, fried foods, and sometimes fried cheese foods. Everyone there seems to eat a lot more than they do where I live now, and on some of them, it shows. A lot.

Now, you would think in this agricultural heartland of corn and cows and pigs, you'd find heaps of smashing bacon. Nuthin. I had some ham, and that was as close as I got.

There's something very wrong here.

Anyway, i'm back, and the bacon is a' flowin' again.
